| BJP demands separate assembly constituency for Sunderbani | | | EARLY TIMES REPORTER
SUNDERBANI | JULY 25
The BJP activists hold a protest rally in the town demanding bifurcation of Sunderbani- Nowshera Assembly constituency and grant of district status to the area.
The BJP activists under the leadership of Sr. BJP leader Gian Chand demanded that a single district of the present tehsil of Sunderbani, Kalakote and Nowshera be made. He said in the past no proper attention has been made by the governments for the development of the area. He stressed that Sunderbani should have separate assembly constituency as the population of the tehsil is about one lakh. He also demanded an opening of separate govt. degree colleges at Sunderbani, Nowshera and Kalakote. The activists also raised slogans against the state and centre Govt. who have failed in checking the price hike of all essential items. The rally after passing trough the main bazzar of the town, handed over a memorandum to the Tehsildar.Among others who also spoke in the rally were Balak Ram Sharma, Vishbinder Dev, Capt Ramesh Gupta,Comd. Biyan and others.
