PSC asked not to finalise select list of Asst Grading & marketing officer | | | Early Times Report Jammu, July 15: Justice Muzaffar Hussain Attar in a petition has issued notice to the state respondents, including PSC returnable within two weeks and after hearing Adv DS Thakur appearing for the petitioner ordered that subject to objections and till next date of hearing, respondents are directed not to finalize the selection for the post of Assistant Grading & Marketing Officers. This order has been passed in a petition filed by Kamal Kishore and Javed Iqbal in which it has been submitted that PSC issued notification on April 1, 2009, the applications were invited for two posts of Assistant Grading & Marketing Officers under the open merit category whereas the petitioners who are full qualified have obtained degrees from Pondicherry University which is said to be recognised by the University Grant Commission and also by the Distance Education Council. The petitioners are aggrieved over the notification dated June 10, 2010 where under nine candidates have been called for interview and the rest of the candidates who had applied for the post AGMO are found ineligible as they do not possess the requisite qualification prescribed for the post. It is mentioned that the degree obtained from the Pondicherry University could not be considered. On this petitioners filed this petition and after considering the case of the petitioners, Justice Muzaffar Hussain Attar directed PSC to no finalize the selection for the AGMO. (JNF) |
