| HC dismisses petition as BOPEE yet to issue final select list | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, July 16: In a petition challenging the selection of candidates for undergoing courses of MBBS, BDS, BvSC, BAMS, BUMS, B.SC Agriculture and allied course, Senior Adv DC Raina appeared for the Jammu & Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination on instructions, stated at the Bar that the select list impugned in the petition was only a tentative exercise conducted by the BOPEE and a final select list of candidates selected against open merit and reserved categories for undergoing various professional courses in the state had yet to be issued.
Justice JP Singh of Jammu & Kashmir High Court Jammu Wing today after hearing counsels observed that in view of the statement made by the senior counsel, this petition does not survive for further consideration as the BOPEE has not yet issued the final select list. As and when the BOPEE issued the final select list and petitioners were aggrieved thereby, they would be at liberty to approach this Court again and dismissed the petition with these observations.
It is worthwhile to mention here that on July 15, 2010, Justice JP Singh has adjourned the case for July 16, 2010 for further consideration and stayed the counseling procession.
