| Kashmir epitome of love and peace:Azad | | | Srinagar, October 22 Chief Minister Gh Nabi Azad here on Saturday said violence has no place in Jammu & Kashmir State which is an epitome of love and peace tracing roots in 1947 partition war, when whole sub continent had become slaughtering place of human lives, but Mahtma Gandhi detected glittering ray of hope in valley. Addressing police commemoration day function at Armed Police Headquarter Zewan, Azad said horrible atmosphere of violence created by militants who, according to him, kill innocent civilians a has created sense of hate in the minds of people against them for rendering the heaven to shambles. Saying that militants have given bad name to sacred valley by resorting to violence and anti-human methods and tried their best to damage its high traditions, Azad said whole world feels ashamed of their savage acts and brutal acts of slitting heads and vital body parts and the same is being intentionally done to harm high image of Kashmir. He also paid tributes to 684 police men having laid down their lives during anti-militancy operation and said that their sacrifices won't be allowed to go waste.
