| Poonch brigade organizes medical camp at Khari Karmara | | |

Jammu, July 17: Carrying forward the spirit of 'Sadbhavana' the Indian Army undertakes projects to reach out to the common people of far flung areas, the punch brigade organized a medical camp for the villagers of Khari Karmara and neighboring villages of Punch District here today. The medial camp was inaugurated by Brigadier VS Sreenivas, of Punch Brigade and was a unique effort aimed at providing much needed medical help to the poor and under privileged population of these remote areas situated very close to the line of control. A team of six doctors including three lady doctors was deputed by the army and a special paediatric, gynecological and dental care was provided to the patients in addition to examination in a general OPD. Immunization of children was carried out and expensive medicines normally beyond reach of the poor villagers were made available free of cost. |
