CAPD fines 22 defaulters | | | early times report JAMMU, July 21:Continuing the drive, its inspecting teams of CAPD conducted surprise checks on Vegetables/Fruit sellers/Halwai Shops/Fast food venders/Tea Stalls at Jammu City and challaned (22) Twenty two defaulters during last four days. During the market checking the inspecting team realized fine of Rs.7600 (Seven Thousand six hundred only) from the defaulters under the violation of Essential Commodities Act/Price Display order/LPG Control order 2000.Besides, this one LPG Gass Agency Canal Road Jammu was also fined for Rs.1000/- under the violation of LPG control order 2000. Four petrol pumps were also inspected by the Mobile lab of HPCL. The samples of MS/HSD were also test checked by the Lab officers of the Oil Companies. The Department of CAPD, has repeatedly directed the Fruit and Vegetables sellers not to indulge in overcharging from the Consumers and to display price list of Fruit and Vegetables for the convenience of general consumer failing which strict action shall be taken against the defaulters under law.
