| State Billiards and Snooker Championships | | 6 Srinagar cueists among 11 enter pre-quarters | | early times report
JAMMU, July 21: Six cueists from district Srinagar among 11 qualified for the third round of pre-quarterfinals of junior snooker event in the ongoing State Billiards and Snooker Championships at Billiards Hall, M A Stadium, here today.
Among those who won in today's second round included Jammu district champion, Nitin Sharma and district Srinagar runners-up, Fahad Hundoo.
Whereas, Srinagar district junior snooker champion, Zahoor Ahmed was take on his opponent in the second round tie late this evening.
It was an easy sailing for upcoming Nitin Sharma, who beat his opponent in easy straight frames. On the other hand, Fahad Hundoo was given a good fight by Rohit Koul before losing the match 0-2.
Meanwhile, according to the organizing secretary, the pre-quarterfinals shall be played tomorrow, followed by the quarterfinals league round scheduled from July 23 onwards.
