'Parindey Jaan Hun Kithey' staged at Abhinav theatre

Jammu, July 21: On the first day of two day Punjabi conference jointly sponsored by the Menoranjan Kala Kendra and J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, a Punjabi play 'Parindey Jaan Hun Kithey' based on Gurbaksh Singh's famous story ' Kehru dus Numbria' was staged at Abhinav theatre here today. 'Parindey Hun Jaan Kithey' i.e.
where the Birds should go now, a play written on the Historical period of partition of India and Pakistan. In this play character Kehru and inaity are the main characters and the story revolves round both of them. In this play Kehru is victim of domestic violence and had become robber and rouge and with the atrocities Kehru's mind becomes full with hatred and he ultimately becomes rouge.
On the other side female character inaity's father is making a plan to sell her in Rs.250/- to a already married man. With this unpleasant act she leave her house and runs with a Youngman Kailey, but due to unavoidable circumstances fellow again sells her to another fellow, 'Kehru' in Rs 800/- while living with 'Inanity' Kehru's life changes with positive attitude and he becomes gentleman from 10-numbry.
He says good-bye to bad habits and starts a new life while working in the filed as a farmer. He now loves 'Inaity' with heart and soul. He also changes her name to Harbans Kour (alias Banso) with Sikh tradition from Guru Granth Sahib.
Ultimately they become blessed with a beautiful son and they name it. Deepa and added the play is written by Dr.Sahil Singh directed by TS Premee while songs are written by Dr. Shaharyar. On the occasion MLA, Bishnah was the chief guest.
