| Woman jumps into Chenab, dies | | | KATRA: A woman today allegedly committed suicide by jumping into Chenab river from Kanthan bridge near Arnas in Reasi soon after she was released from the Arnas police station.
She was identified as Raj Begum, wife of Nagar Mohammad, of Arnas.
Police sources said she was Monday last picked up by police along with her husband, and a police constable, who lived in their house, after some SIMs were allegedly recovered from their possession.
She was released from the Arnas police station at about 6 am today. Sources said after her release from the police station, she allegedly committed suicide by jumping into Chenab from Kanthan
bridge.Her body was yet to be fished out, the sources added.
