Accusing ruling elite of its self-motherly treatment to SC/ST and OBCs in the matter of reservation, Member National Executive of the Bahujan Samaj Party and Coordinator for J&K Dr Sat Paul has demanded certain amendments in Reservation Act 2004 SRO 294.
Sat Paul has demanded grant of reservation to SC/ST according to district wise population, implementation of Mandal Commission report in toto, excluding RBA and ALC from OBC and granting of minority status to Christian community.
While welcoming the struggle started by Backward Classes Union for their reservation rights according to Mandal Commission recommendations, the BSP leader has appealed them to come under the banner of BSP and jointly fight against the anti- SC/ST policies of the government.
