| Boy killed in explosion at Kishtwar | | Two HM Militants including deserted SPO killed in Gandoh encounter | |
JAMMU OCT-22 Two HM militants including a deserted SPO were killed in an encounter in Gandoh area of Doda district, a hideout was busted in general area of Rehani forests in Doda, while a 10 year boy got killed and three others sustained injuries when some unknown miscreants exploded a crude explosion near Hospital at Gali in Kishtwar today. According to a police spokesman, on specific information developed by Doda Police regarding presence of HM Militants in Serlia area of Gandoh, a search operation was launched during the intervening night of 20-21, October by the Police party Gandoh under the supervision of SI Chancal Singh. During the operation, an encounter took place between the militants and the operation party in which two militants of HM outfit got killed in the gun battle. Those killed have been identified as HM section commander Shabir Ahmed code Bilal son of Nazir Ahmed resident of Changa and Mohammed Imran code Kamran son of Abdul Aziz resident of Kilothran. The slain militant Shabir who was serving as an SPO and deserted it before joining HM outfit in 2003. During search operation one AK 47 rifle, one AK magazine, six AK rounds, two hand grenades and two pouches were recovered from the possession of the slain militants. The search operation was still continuing, the spokesman added. The spokesman said that some unknown miscreants exploded a crude explosion near Hospital road Mohalla Saniyar (Zargar) Gali in Kishtwar in which a 10-year boy Jabraj son of Faquir Chand of Pathan Kote got seriously injured and later succumbed to his injuries in SDH Kishtwar while three others sustained minor injuries. The injured included a 11-year Pradeep Kumar son of Junga Ram of Palmar and mother and other relative of deceased Jubraj. A Defence spokesman said that an Over Ground Worker identified as Bashir Ahmed son of Mohammed Akbar resident of Cherji in Chanderkot was apprehended by the RR. The arrested OWG is suspected to be involved in killing of eight Hindus on July 20-21,2001 at Village Cherji. The individual listed as an OWG at Police Station Kishtwar has been handed over to the Police today for further interrogation. The spokesman further said that during the intervening night of 18-19 October, Police Party Chilly during its search operation in general area of Rehani forest falling under Gandoh Police station busted a militants’ hide out and recovered 40 kg of Atta, 30Kg Rice, 10 litres of K.Oil, two pencil cells and some utensils.
