| 500 Pouches of illicit liquor recovered, 3 held | | |

JAMMU, July 23 : Samba Police have arrested three bootleggers while 500 pouches of illicit liquor were recovered from their possession village Lale Chak in Samba district today. The accused have been identified as Yougal Kishore of Lale-Chak, Satish Parshad of Bhagate Chak and Tara Chand of Rajpura . Sources said that on a tip off police conducted a raid in village Lale Chak under the jurisdiction of Police Staion Samba.
During the raid 500 pouches of illicit liquor was recovered from the arrested persons while selling on exorbitant rates. A case under section 48 of Excise Act stands registered at Police Station Samba. Meanwhile, Police today nabbed two drug peddlers while 80 Capsules of Parvan Spas were recovered from their possession. The accused have been identified as Krishan Lal alias Kalu of Mandi Kotli Samba and Amit Gupta of Chak Manga Rakwal. |
