| KPPC to organize Lal Chowk Conclave on 28 July | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar, July 23: A meeting of the Reception Committee of Kashmir Panthers Party Council was held in Srinagar to discuss the plans and programmes of the Lal Chowk conclave being held by the party on Wednesday, 28th of July, 2010 at 11.00 A.M. to launch a political movement in J&K for the revival of democracy, rule of law and return of peace with justice.
The meeting was presided over by Provincial President, Mr. Farooq Ahmed Dar and attended by several senior members of the Reception Committee in spite of curfews and shut downs. Those who attended the meeting included M/s. Masood Indrabi, State Vice President, Mushtaq Ahmed and Maqbool Malik, State Secretaries, Mehboob Illahi, PRO and Press Secretary among district presidents.
The Reception Committee issued an appeal on behalf of Chairman, Prof. Bhim Singh to political leaders of all groups and parties irrespective of their school of thought to join hands together to ensure that peace is restored with the democratic fervor and justice to all. Prof. Bhim Singh has already made a call to all the factions of the Hurriyat Conference, leadership of all political parties operating in J&K including Congress, NC, PDP, BJP and others to make Lal Chowk conclave a joint initiative to ensure that neither bullets nor pebbles shall rule and democracy returns through Governor Rule as the present government has lost its weight under its own pressure.
The Reception Committee hoped that the people of the Valley in particular and the youth as a hope for the future shall join this democratic movement for justice and peace. |
