| VRS employees hold protest, raise demands | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, July 23: All Jammu and Kashmir SRTC Volunteers Retirement Employees Association held a demonstration at General Manager Operation Jammu and Kashmir SRTC on Friday under the leadership of Dev Raj Bali and S Balwinder Singh and showed their arrogance against the SRTC Management against their false promises for clearing their dues in one settlement before 31st March, 2010.
They alleged that till date their dues have not been cleared despite their repeated representations and demonstration. "One more glaring fraud played by the management for not depositing our CPF in our accounts in the office of Additional Provident Fund Commissioner Since 1999, whereas the CPF has been deducted from our salaries regularly," they mentioned and added that no doubt after great struggle the management now has deposited 50 percent CPF. They warned the management to deposit their balance 50 percent along with compound interest @ 12 percent. They appealed to the
Central Government to conduct a CBI enquiry into this issue so that the erring persons of the management be penalized accordingly.
They demanded release of 60 slabs of COLA for the year 2006, 2007 and 2008, pending arrears of COLA w.e.f 1999 including 12 percent PA compound interest thereon, implementation of 6th Pay Commission and two installments of 5th Pay Commission as these are pending since 1997. |
