| Sadhotra presides meeting of DRC | | | EARLY TINES REPORT
Srinagar, July 23 :Departmental Related Committee (DRC) -III of Legislative Council convened its introductory meeting here today.The meeting was chaired by the chairman of the Committee, Ajay Kumar Sadhotra.
Other members of the Committee Vijay Bakaya, Mohd Amin Bhat, Jahangir Hussain Mir besides officers of council secretariat attended the meeting.
After threadbare discussion on the functioning of Forests, CAPD, Transport, PDD and Medical Education departments, the Committee was of the view that all the departments are directly dealing with public and as such need to improve their functioning further. It was decided to call a meeting of officers of CAPD on August 10, 2010 to review the public distribution system and stock position of essential commodities in the stores and godowns of both the divisions as also at district headquarters.
The Chairman also said that committee will give valuable suggestions to the departments for improving their functioning to solve the public grievances. |
