| Gamblers arrested, cash recovered | | | JAMMU | OCT 22
On a specific information, Janipur police arrested seven person who were found busy in gambling and recovered an amount of Rs. 45,000 from them.
The raid on the hide out was carried out by SHO Janipur, Surinder Singh Baloria, under the direction of S.P City Sanjay Kotwal. Police register the case under the gambling act against the arrestee, identified as Mohd. Salim S/o Mohd. Hussain R/o Old Janipur, Bittu, R/o Lakar Mandi, Krishan Singh, and Harbans lat both resident of Paloura, Raj Kumar of Old Janipur, Deep Kumar R/o Durga Nagar and Shamus-u-Din of Ambedkar Nagar, Janipur. According to source among the arrested person two working in PDD as inspectors.
In addition to this, police also arrested some person in Janipur area who were also busy in gambling.
