Nago creates unruly scenes in court, says he is being harassed at minister's behest | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, July 23: Creating unruly scenes in the court of sessions judge here Thursday, Nagar Singh alias Nago accused the presiding officer of not considering his application for medical examination, while alleging that he "is being harassed at the behest of a minister". Nago, an accused in Amandeep murder, was Thursday brought to the sessions court in connection with the case hearing. Some lawyers, who were also present in the court, said while sessions judge B L Bhat was in his chair, Nago allegedly accused the presiding officer of not considering his application for medical examination. The eyewitnesses said when the judge told him to call his lawyer in the court, Nago lost his patience and made "derogatory" remarks against him, accusing him of being biased. Allegedly pointing his finger towards the judge, he said, "HC knows at which minister's behest he is being harassed." Provoked by Nago's outburst, which stunned the court, his son Jitender Singh alias Raja, the prime accused in the Amandeep murder, caught hold of the Sub-Inspector, who escorted him, and jolted him in full view of litigants and advocates just outside the sessions court. Taking strong exception to the Nago's alleged outburst and misbehaviour with the judge, some advocates said they were surprised as to why the judge did not initiate contempt proceedings against him.
