| Seminar on ethnic identity held | | | JAMMU | OCT 22 Knowledgeable Peace Society (KPS) today organized a seminar on “Opportunity, option and adjustment of all the ethnic identities in the resolution of JK problem”. In the seminar, the issue was discussed at thread bare for evolving a unanimous solution to restore the peace in Jammu and Kashmir. It was attended by people from the different ethnic identities of the state. Paras Ram Poonchi, president KPS in his inaugural address welcomed all the participants of the seminar. Highlighting the grievances of the several ethnic groups, who were uprooted from their original birthplace due to the JK problem, Poonchi said that these ethnic groups are still in confusion and are neglected regarding the preservation of their identity. He termed the today’s seminar as an exercise to create a realistic opinion to approach before the people of India, Pakistan and world public. Several speakers including Kuldeep Dogra, chairman KPS, Hoshiar Singh, I D Khajuria, Murtaza Ahmed Khan, Pritam Singh, K C Sharma and Ritender Koul, Retd DIG spoke on the occasion and aired their views and suggestions for the solution of J&K embroglio.
