Sagar tours Srinagar city, appeals restoring peace, normalcy | Says Rs. 60 cr being utilized for macdamization of Srinagar roads | | Early Times Report Srinagar, July 25: An amount of Rs.60 crore has been earmarked for macdamization of various roads of Srinagar city. This was stated by the Minister for Rural Development, Panchayats, Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Ali Mohammad Sagar while interacting with various groups of people during his extensive tour of the Srinagar city. The areas visited included Khanyar, Khayam, Bishamber Nagar, Gonakhan, Reshi Mohalla and Dalgate. The Minister was accompanied by the senior officers of the district administration, Srinagar Municipal Corporation and Divisional heads of various departments including PHE, Irrigation and R&B. Sagar said that in order to rehabilitate various artisans skilled in different trades of handicrafts a comprehensive package has already been formulated by the Government. The Minister appealed the people to help the Government in restoring the peace and normalcy in the State. He said these factors are paramount in furthering the developmental projects and uplifting the socio-economic condition of the people. "Government is abreast of the problems being faced by the people and in this regard necessary instructions have already been passed to the concerned to redress these within the shortest possible time", he maintained. The Minister while inspecting different ration depots, health care centres, power stations and other allied essential services asked the officers to ensure that the local populace does not face any inconvenience due to the prevailing circumstances. Sagar while inspecting the pace of work on various ongoing developmental projects asked the concerned to speed up the same within the stipulated time frame so that the people get the benefited. |
