| Non-Pahari officers conspiring against Paharis, alleges PPM | | |

Rajouri, July 25: Alleging conspiracy against Pahari people of this State, Jammu & Kashmir Pahari Peoples Movement (JKPPM) Chief Executive, Shahbaz Khan has exposed a big fraud in education department in the matter of scholarships for Pahari students. He demanded high level enquiry into the entire matter. He has also demanded immediate suspension of Zonal Education Officer Dhandesar in Rajouri district.
In a press statement issued here, Shahbaz Khan said the scholarship amount meant to be given to the Pahari students has been returned by some Zonal Education Officers in Rajouri. Giving an example, he said that the amount of scholarships to the tune of Rs 3.4 lakh sanctioned for the Pahari students has been returned by the Zonal Education Officer Dhandesar.
Khan said that on one hand, students of this area were denied scholarship and on the other hand, the amount sanctioned by government has been returned. "This is a conspiracy hatched by non-Pahari officers against the Pahari people of this state and Dhandesar is a case in point", Khan said. He demanded a probe into why the amount of scholarship was returned to the government by ZEO Dhandesar.
Targeting the department for not providing this year scholarship to many Pahari students, Khan said that at least 100 Pahari students of Dhandesar and Fathepur area of Rajouri have approached him complaining that they have not received scholarship in their schools. "There are also other areas where Pahari students were deprived of the scholarship", Khan said. |
