JWAM demands regular water, power supply | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, July 25: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) has asked PHE and PDD authorities to take effective steps to stop unscheduled power curtailments and solve the acute scarcity of drinking water in the city particularly in parts of Jammu west constituency. JWAM president Sunil Dimple raised the demand after his meeting with Superintending Engineer PHE A K Kapoor and Executive Engineer Shiv Nand. He said that more than 8 lacks population of the localities of the Jammu West Assembly constituency have not been supplied drinking water for the last 72 hrs and the people are spending sleepless nights due to the defunct transformers and curtailment of electricity for the last many days in the scorching heat and humidity. Serving 24 hour's ultimatum to PDD and PHE, if water not supplied in these localities we will come on roads in protest. |
