| JYF urges Governor to intervene | | |

JAMMU, July 25: Alleging irregularities in the functioning of Directorate of Distance Education (DDE) of University of Jammu, Jammu Youth Forum (JYF) has urged Governor, who is also Chancellor of the University to intervene in the larger interest of student community.
Addressing a meeting of the forum, Sandeep Charak criticized the Director, Distance Education for her failure to overhaul the system of the Directorate.
He alleged that there is infrastructure problem in DDE. When students come from far flung areas, there is no body to listen to their problems, on the other hand the higher authorities of DDE themselves stay unbothered.
Charak also claimed that certain elements in the campus are misguiding the Vice Chancellor over the state of the affairs of the varsity. "Thousands of students are enrolling with the DDE every session but nothing is being done to provide them adequate facilities." |
