JAMMU | OCT 22 “The teachings of’ Viswakarma Maharaj’ are more relevant today then in the past, teachings of Vishwakarma are not for a particular religion or section, but for all sections of the society,” said president of National Conference ( NC) Omar Abdullah. While addressing a function of Vishakarma Samaj at Mishriwala here today. Omar said, artisans are the backbone of the system and no society can sustain without them, and added it is very unfortunate that government has not declared holiday on this day. He urged upon the government to declare holiday on Vishwakarma. On the occasion he endorsed the demand of the Samaj for the Samaj and further said, if land id identified he will ensure that the multipurpose hall is constructed. He also said, that the grap of un-employment in the state is a matter of serious concern Omar also express his great concern over the loss to standing and harvested crops due to heavy rain and storm, and asked the government farmers should be given compernsation immediately. The gathering was addressed by Ajay Sadhotra and Satpal Lakhotra, and should presented to Abdullah by Mangal Dass.
