| Girl injured in Balakote mine blast | | |

Rajouri, July 26 : A 15 year girl injured seriously in a mine explosion near Line of Control in Balakote sector, police sources said. As per reports, a girl namely Zahida Kousar daughter of Rehmatulla Khan resident of Bruthi village in Balakote today injured seriously in a mine blast near fence line on LoC Balakote.
Sources said that Zahida was grazing her cattle near fence line in the afternoon on Monday and when crossed some bushes in the area, a mine exploded and she received splinters in head. Following the incident, local army shifted her to Mendher Hospital where the doctors after giving first aid referred her for intensive treatment at Rajouri. Confirming the mine explosion, Chowki Officer of Police in Balakote sector Mohammad Ayoub Khan told Early Times that the girl was injured near Bruthi village when she was returning after grazing cattle near LoC. |
