Book police officials involed in bovine smuggling: VHP | | | Early Times Report Jammu, July 26 : Vishav Hindu Parishad today condemned the increasing bovine smuggling in the state. VHP state president Rama Kant Dubey told that four months back a delegation led by VHP activists met with the higher officers of police and Divisional Commissioner, Jammu and apprised them of the upcoming agitation if the bovine smuggling is not stopped. Dubey was addressing a press conference here today. In a statement, he said that Samba agitation was a bugle against Kashmir appeasing policy and added that cow slaughtering was a serious offence under Indian Panel Code and demanded government to take stern action against those whosoever was involved in this serious crime. Pointing towards police contribution in this crime, he said that right from Kathua to Ramban there are hundreds of nakas and how these bovine smugglers manage to reach in Kashmir is a million dollar question and nabbed bovine smuggler Mukhtiyar's wording that they paid Rs 1000 per head to police officers is an eye opener. He said that such police officers need to be penalized sternly so that Samba like incident would not be occurred in future. |
