| Karra for preparing pre budget economic survey | | |
SRINAGAR, Oct 23
In order to prepare pre budget economic survey in Jammu and Kashmir as is the practice at the national level, the Minister for Planning, Finance, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Mr. Tariq Hamid Karra has directed for .launching pre budget economic survey so that same is presented as a part of the states Annual Budget. The Minister has asked the department of economic and statistics to take up the exercise and complete the same expeditiously.
A meeting of high level officers chaired by the Minister today reviewed the preliminary steps taken in this direction and to obtain view points of participating members for broad bassing the coverage of economic survey report and also to improve the data.
The meeting was told that necessary guidance will also be sort from economic advisor J& K Government Prof. Nissar Ali of Kashmir University and eminent economist.
The meeting was attending among other by the Principle Secretary Planning and Development Department Mr. S.S. Kapoor, Financial Commissioner Mr. B.B. Viyas, Economic Advisor J & K Dr. Haseeb Drabu, Economic Advisor of Kashmir University Prof Nissar Ali, Economic Advisor of Kashmir University, Mrs. Roma Wani Special Secretary Planning, Mr.G.A. Qureshi Director Economic and Statistics, M.Y. Bhat Director Area Planning, M.Y. Sheikh Director Project Planning also participating in the meeting.
