| Cabinet approves engagement of Rehbar-i-Ziraat on stipend | | | Srinagar, October 23 Cabinet which met here today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad approved engagement of all the unemployed Agriculture Graduates as on date as Rebar-i-Ziraat at a monthly stipend of Rs. 1500/- .This shall be effective from April 2007 by which time the procedural formalities will be completed by the Agriculture department. Cabinet also accorded sanction to the establishment of Chief Engineer for PMGSY/ Bharat Nirmaan with three offices of SE’s and Nine Divisions for implementation of PMGSY in the state as per earmarked jurisdiction. The Chief Engineer PMGSY will be responsible for implementation of PMGSY/Bharat Nirmaan in the entire state. However, in case of Doda and Udhampur districts where PMGSY works are being entrusted to NBCC, he will be responsible for coordinating with NBCC. In Leh and Kargil districts PMGSY will be implemented by existing district SE and R&B division who will be reporting to Chief Engineer PMGSY for all matters relating to implementation of PMGSY. The Cabinet accordingly approved creation of post of one Chief Engineer, three SE’s, 13 Xens, one Technical Officers, 12 AEE’s, 42 AE’s, 38 JE’s, one Accounts Officer, and 16 Assistant Account Officers, 3 Accounts Assistants, 16 Head Draftsman, 3 Section Officers, one Junior Stenographer, two DFO’s, one BDO and one Junior Assistant. The Cabinet also approved that posts which have been created above shall be filled up as per recruitment rules, by transfer/promotion by the respective departments without delay. The cabinet also accorded sanction for constitution of high level steering committee under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary, Planning department, Commissioner Finance department, Commissioner Secretary forest department, Commissioner Secretary R&B department, Secretary Rural Development department, Secretary Revenue department and Chief Engineer PMGSY, as members. The committee shall frequently review the status of cases of forest clearance, land acquisition for Bharat Nirmaan and progress of PMGSY work. Cabinet also approved placement of Mr. Mohammad Shaban Najar, SE, R&B (Civil) presently on deputation to IRCON, as incharge Chief Engineer and his posting as Managing Director JKPCC. Cabinet also approved placement of Mr. Ashok Dhar, Incharge SE (Mech), as incharge Chief Engineer, Mechanical, Engineering department, Jammu with immediate effect. Cabinet also approved appointment of Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad Pandit and Mr. G.M. Dar (Pvt. Sec) to KAS cadre in the time scale of Rs.10000-15200. |
