Batch of 2,589 pilgrims left for Amarnath Yatra

EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, July 31: A batch of 2,589 pilgrims comprising of 1,561 male, 650 female, 43 children and 335 sadhus, left from the base camp at Bagwati Nagar early this morning in a fleet of 65 vehicles under tight security.
With today's batch, as many as 70,867 pilgrims have left from here to pay obeisance of the Ice Lingam at the 3,880 metre high cave shine.
Over 3.75 Lakh pilgrims have so far visited the cave shrine since the commencement of Yatra on June 30.
