| Another ceasefire violation on LoC | | |
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, JULY 31: Violating ceasefire, Pak troops fired from across the Line of Control (LoC) at a forward Indian post in Krishna Ghati sub-sector of Poonch this morning. The firing, which was totally unprovoked, was aimed at facilitating infiltration by militants based in Pakistan, official sources said. Sources said the Pak troops fired from their Chua Post at the or ward Chhajaman post at about 6.30 am. India retaliated. The exchange of fire between the two sides continued for about half an hour.
Sources said there was no casualty on the Indian side. Casualty, if any, on the Pak side was, however, not known, the sources added. This was the 10th ceasefire violation by Pakistan along J&K borders during July.
