Five held with 3,300 banned capsules at Samba | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, July 31: In a special drive launched against drug peddlers, the Samba police today arrested five persons along with 3,300 banned Paravan Spas capsules.The accused were identified as Naresh Kumar alias Rinku, son of Krishan Lal of Purani Mandi near Hanuman Mandir, Ajay Sharma alias Gora, son of Darshan Lal of Shanti Nagar, Prikshit Singh alias Vicky, son of Dhruv Singh of Keli Mandi, Samba, Amarjeet Singh, son of Piyara Singh and Vicky Kumar, son of Jang Bahadur, both residents of Valmiki Colony, Gandhi Nagar. Police sources said on the directions of SSP, Samba, J L Sharma, cops had laid special nakas at Badani and Mansar Morh on the national highway. At Mansar Morh, Naresh and Ajay got down from a bus seeing the police checking point. This made police suspicious of them.The cops caught hold of them. Sources said their frisking led cops to the recovery of 2,000 capsules from Naresh and 200 from Ajay. Both of them were then arrested and whisked away to police station. At Badani, police seized 700 capsules from Prikshit, 300 from Amarjeet and 100 from Vicky Kumar, the sources added.Cases stand registered against them at the concerned police stations.
