| Mankotia inaugurates Nag yatra | | |

Doda, July 31:State president Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) and MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia today inaugurated the famous Nag yatra from Hamble to Dehra Top area of district Doda. On the occasion, hundreds of people from different parts of Marmat area were present. Earlier, Mankotia reached Hamble on his two-day tour of Doda and Kishtwar districts and inaugurated. Mankotia was given warm welcome by Rashpal Singh Katoch president of the yatra along with committee members. While addressing the gathering, Mankotia said that this yatra is one of the oldest religious pilgrimages and has become the symbol of brotherhood in this area.
but ironically neither the state government nor local administration has shown any concern to popularize this yatra.
Mankotia further said that there is lack of basic facilities for yatris including drinking water, bathroom facility, proper accommodation and road connectivity. He urged the state government to extend all facilities to yatris so that the sentiments of the people connected with this yatra may not hurt. Anil Parihar Provincial General Secretary, Advocate Arun Katoch senior leader Panthers Party and Subash Singh Youth leader Panthers party were also present on the occasion.
