JWAM urges PM to take Kashmir situation seriously | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Aug 1 : Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) has appealed the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi to take serious note of the alarming situation, law and order problem in Kashmir. JWAM also appealed the President of India Prathiba Devi Singh Patil, Governor N N Vohra to closely monitor Kashmir situation. Addressing the media persons, JWAM president, Sunil Dimple alleged that the present Kashmir problem has badly shattered the economy, development and have badly effected all the three regions of the Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh of the J&K State. He criticised the coalition governments decision to release separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani who was booked under the PSA. He further alleged that the weakened policies of the Central Govt and Home Minister P. Chidambram were responsible for the present deteriorating law and order situation in the Jammu and Kashmir state. Dimple demanded the central Govt to crush Pak sponsored militancy with iron hand and the Pakistan should be given befitting reply and no talks should be held with Pakistan. He appealed all the political parties National Conference, Congress, People Democratic Party, Bhartiya Janta Party not to "Politicize" the present law and order situation and fight unitedly to bring out Kashmir from present turmoil. Others present in the press conference were Dr Sham Saroop Gupta, O P Jandiyal, Ramesh Chander Kohli, Mohinder Thappa, Raj Kumar Gupta, Randhir Singh and Mohan Lal Sharma.
