| SSP, SIKH LI organize ‘Iftar party’ | | | POONCH-OCT-23 Several organizations and individuals today organized ‘Iftar parties’ in border district, which were attended by a large number of people. S D Singh SSP organized one such party at Dak Bunglow, which was attended by large number of prominent citizens including Moulanas. Prominent citizens from other communities also joined the party. Speaking on the occasion, G M Jan MLA Haveli thanked the District Police for arranging Iftar party, which, he, said, would go a long way in strengthening the police-public relations in the district. Continuing its goodwill gesture to win hearts of the people, the Sikh Light Infantry Unit of Krishna Ghati Brigade, organized ‘Iftar Party’ at village Salotri. The objective of organizing the party was to develop the feeling of camaraderie and friendship among the civilians and the army personnel. The active participation of the locals in the function reflected the vibrant harmony among the people of various shades of opinion and religions. Brig Gudeep Singh Cdr Krishana Ghati Brigade was the chief guest at the function. Among others who attended the party included sarpanches of village Balnoi, Ghanim, Nambal, Kisti, Tara, Salotri and Jhallas besides civil and police officials. Addressing the function, Brig Gurdeep Singh reiterated the commitment of the Army in general and the Krishna Ghati Brigade in particular to give all possible assistance to the populace of these remote villages.
