| Militant, OGW arrested, explosive recovered | | |

A militant of HM outfit was arrested, OGW apprehended while ROP party recovered explosive in Doda district today.
A Defence spokesman said today that based on information of Army Intelligence, a joint column was launched to apprehend the militant in Doda town. On establishing contact with the ultra, he fired upon the search party in a bid to flee away. However, the alert police knocked him down and took him into custody.
The arrested militant has been identified, as 27 year Jamshed Mohammed @ Baba Tiger son of Shaki Mohammed of Doda . Affiliated with HM and LT militant outfits, the subject was active in the area for some time.
One 7.62 mm Pistol along with a pistol magazine, one round of Pistol ammunition and one round of fired case was recovered from his possession.
The spokesman said that a joint column of RR on a tip off from an arrested militant apprehended an OGW who had provided pistol to the terrorist. The 17-year
Sajad Hussain son of Imam Din of Anchakri was later handed over to Doda Police for further questioning.
In the meantime ROP party of RR recovered 125 grams of explosive wrapped in polythene pocket and hidden behind a boulder in general area of Doda .The explosive was destroyed on spot.
