JAMMU, Augu 3: Semifinals line-up has been drawn in senior snooker event with the entry of Vishal Abrol, Kuldeep Sharma, Kamal Rohmetra and Mohit Mahajan in the last four stages in the ongoing 20th State Billiards and Snooker Championships at Billiards Hall, MA Stadium here today.
Now, in the semi-finals, to be played tomorrow, Vishal shall take on mighty Kamal Rohmetra at 1 pm, while Mohit shall face Kuldeep Sharma at 11 am.
Earlier, in the quarterfinals league round, Vishal topped group B with all three wins while Mohit secured the berth winning only game. But on the basis of his frame average, Mohit qualified for the semifinals. Nikhil Kapahi and Jaideep Manocha were other cueists in the race from group-B.
On the other hand, Kamal was lucky enough to qualify from group-A considering his frame average. Since both Kamal and Sumesh Turki had two wins each, the former’s win over latter helped the senior cueist reach last four stages.
Kuldeep Sharma, who had better frame average in his two wins, topped group-A.
