Sunderbani MLC tours his constituency

Sunderbani, Aug 3: Member Legislative Council and PCC General Secretary & Spokesperson Mr. Ravinder Sharma conducted two day tour of Sunderbani and Nowshera Tehsils, and interacted with party activists and delegates.
He took stock of developmental works in progress and also the implementation of various welfare schemes besides discussing measures to strengthen the congress party and the coalition at the grassroots level. The meeting at Sunderbani was presided over by Sub. Gian Chand Sharma while that of Nowshehra was presided over by H.L. Bakshi.
The Party activists including ex-panches and sarpanches apprised Sharma about various issues and problems faced by the people in different parts of the area. They complained about the non-implementation of NREGA as per its spirit as the laborers are not getting wages by due time. They also complained about pick and choose and the element of corruption in the selection of BPL cases for Indira Awas Yojna and other such benefits. The problems of drinking water, power and food supply, and transport system were also highlighted. The issues of farmers regarding seeds and fertilizer were also discussed.
Mr. Sharma told party men to constitute Panchayat level monitoring committees to act as watchdog for the implementation of development and welfare schemes in their respective areas. They should highlight the issues of common man and assured them to take up their demands at appropriate levels in the government. He also advised party men to raise their voice against any sort of corruption at any level in the administration and in the society assuring that he would always be with them in this crusade against the menace of corruption.
He advised party workers to launch a war against corruption, the root cause of injustice and unfairness. He exhorted the people to speak about any miss-utilization, misappropriation and improper implementation of various good schemes of the Centre and State governments meant for the welfare and development of common people. He asked higher authorities in the administration to properly monitor the working of different departments at the lower levels in the area.

Prominent among those who attended the meetings were K. L. Soodan, Tirath Ram, S.Isher Singh, S. Paramjeet Singh, Kulwant Raj, Bhim Sen, ex-ZEO, Ashwani Kumar (Advocate), S. Rajinder Singh, and others.

Meanwhile another meeting was held at Bhajwal, Sunderbani which was attended by local leaders of different parties and social groups to convey their gratitude to the MLC for taking keen interest in addressing various problems of the local people in the area. They promised to extend their full support to him.
Prominent among the audience were Kali Dass Sharma (Sr. BJP leader and runner up in assembly elections), Raj Kumar (NC leader), President Kaka Ram, Lekh Raj Sharma, Diwan Chand and representatives of different NGOs in the area.
