| NSUI demands re-poll in college | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, Aug 3:The National Student Union of India unit, Kathua and the Government Degree College, Kathua condemned the college student CR election in GDC, Kathua which has taken place few days ago.
Addressing a press conference, the district president of NSUI Paramjeet Singh, district general secretary Vishu Andotra, City unit president Akhil Gupta, urged upon the district administration of Kathua to intervene in the matter of student election and demanded that college administration should cancel to hold the re-election on proper time in November.
They blamed the college authority to conduct the election without presence of students which is the negligent and undemocratic act of the authority. In this concern, the activists of the NSUI also met with DC kathua Sanjeev Verma under the leadership of district president Paramjeet Singh to highlight the problems of untimely election in response the DC Kathua assured the students to conduct the re-election of the students of GDC Kathua on appropriate time.
