Risk prone overcrowded passenger buses in Kathua | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Kathua, Aug 5: Overloading of school vehicles and passenger carrying matador from Kathua to Lakahnapur and other villages of Kathua has become a routine practice with the greedy bus owners and at the risk of many passengers. Matadors with normal capacity of 15 to 20 passengers load 30 to 50 passengers in every trip from Kathua to the respective destination. Most of the passenger is seen hanging on to the doors of the vehicles. Same is the story about private school vehicles in and around Kathua town Education and traffic authorities seem to be totally unconcerned with this risky practice of the bus owners. Overloaded vehicles are always driven with high causing accidents in the densely populated segments Shaheedi Chowk up to Kalibari. Traffic police hardly book the drivers for violating traffic rules at the cost of danger to precious lives.
