| 3 day Jewellery exhibition launched | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, August 6: The young jewellery designers Sanya Jain and Arubha Kasliwal opened their jewellery exhibition today at Hotel Asia. The first-of-its-kind, three-day exhibition showcases diamond, gold, polki and the best of Rajasthani designs. From a string of necklace in semi-precious stones to the much sought-after kundan work, you can get them all under one roof. The exhibits cater to all tastes and purses.
"With a range beginning at Rs.500 onwards, there is something for everyone for the upcoming festive season," said Sanya, who hails from Jammu and has already held several solo and partnered exhibitions in cities like Hyderabad, Delhi, Chandigarh, Ludhiana etc.
The other designer, Arubha, from Jaipur, also has held several successful jewellery exhibitions throughout the country. Additionally this exhibition also brings into limelight the young talent of Jammu.
“The traditional male bastion where only men produced and marketed the jewellery meant for women is now seeing a major shift. Young women not only like to wear trendy or traditional jewellery, but they also want to participate in the entire business of it”, said Neelam Jain organizer of the exhibition.
The coming three days will show how the people of Jammu respond to this change. However, going by the good turnout on the first day, Jammu-ites are sure to give the young designers a thumbs up.
