| Taliban warlord confirms Pak sheltering its fighters | | | London, Oct 24: A fanatical Taliban warlord has reportedly confirmed the presence of Taliban fighters in Pakistan.
Mullah Mohammed Amin, who was in the Taliban defence ministry until the American-led invasion in 2001, reportedly said that they had a stockpile of missiles with a range of 7000 yards, Kalashnikov AK-47 rifles and rocket-propelled grenades.
He also claimed that the Taliban were close to developing a missile capable of hitting a warplane flying at 50,000ft. "We are nearly there — 75 per cent done," The Sun quoted him as saying in an interview with Sky News.
Warning of terror attacks in Britain as retaliation for the presence of UK troops in Afghanistan, he said that ordinary men, women and children would be targeted by the killers, who, he added, would laugh in celebration.
He also threatened to unleash terrorism on mainland Europe.
Raging at ‘foreign invaders’, he said: "It’s acceptable to kill ordinary people because these people have voted in the government. They came to our home and attacked our women and children. The ordinary people of these countries are behind this so we will not spare them. We will kill them and laugh over them like they are killing us and laughing at us."
Terrorism expert Chris Dobson said the plan to kill ordinary Brits echoed threats made by al-Qaeda boss Osama Bin Laden. "This has to be faced and taken seriously. It is part of the menace we now have to live with," said Dobson.
