| JKCA to host three Ranji Trophy matches | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 11: The North Zone Fixture Committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has allotted three league matches of the prestigious Ranji Trophy (Plate Group-B) 4-day competition to Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA).
While the opening tie, against Maharashtra, is scheduled to be played at Srinagar, the last two matches, against Andhra Pradesh and Vidarbha, have been allotted for Jammu. Other two league matches shall be played at Kerela and Delhi.
“The first match of the league round shall be played at Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium, Srinagar from November Ist to November four. Whereas other two matches shall be played in Jammu in the first week of December,” sharing information, vice-chairman of the JKCA Jammu wing, Shambu Nath told Sports & Allied News, here today.
Meanwhile, the Ranji Trophy one dayers for Vijay Hazare Trophy have been allotted to Punjab. Starting with first match against DDCA on February two, all five matches shall be hosted by Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) at different venues of Punjab.
Similarly, the league-round of the Twenty20 tournament for Mushtaq Ali Trophy shall take place from October 22 onwards. This event is being hosted by Delhi District Cricket Association (DDCA). In the opening match, J&K shall take on Services Sports Control Board (SSCB) on October 22.
