| Patient with carcinoma cervix operated | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 11: A patient with carcinoma cervix from rural area of Jammu was operated upon at Government Gandhinagar Hospital, Jammu today by Dr Kasturi lal Gupta, ex Principal and Head of Gynecology and Obstetrics Department, Govt Medical Colleg,e Jammu, who had been specially invited by the Hospital administration for operating the patient. The operation started at about 8.30 am and lasted for about three hours where Dr Kasturi Lal was assisted by other gynecologists from Government Gandhi Nagar Hospital, Jammu and adjoining hospitals.
Meanwhile, facility of live telecast of the complete operation being performed was made available by the Hospital Administration, which was viewed by various gynecologists of Jammu Health Department and other senior doctors.
Dr Kasturi lal Gupta was assisted by Dr R.C.Sharma, Dr Anita Baru, Dr Manjula Sharma, Dr Anil Mehta, Dr Rajesh ,Gupta all gynaecologists, anaethetists were Dr Vinod Sacchar and Dr Rajesh Gupta. Other staff who assisted and contributed in successful performance of the operation were Mr Pawan Gupta, Mr G.S.Wazir & Mr Ashok Kumar all Theater Technicians, Staff Nurse Renu and Neelu Kousar and class iv employees Samsher, Kailash, Meera and Baby.
Medical Superintendent Dr Subash Bhagat and Dy. Medical Superintendent Dr Arun Sharma were present. Gynecologists Dr Kamini, Dr Manjusha Bajaj, Dr Madhuri Salathia, Dr Santosh and other doctors of Gandhinagar Hospital and many paramedical staff were also present.
