Charter of demands submitted to CM | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Kathua Aug 11: A deputation of the residents of the village Gatti led by the senior leader of National Conference of district Kathua K.K Bakshi met with DC Kathua , Sanjeev Verma and submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to intervene in the matter of the degraded and substandard construction of Ujh river protective wall in Gatti village of cost 16 crore. The ex-sarpanch and block president of national conference J.P Singh said that the wall was constructed at a cost of Rs 16 crore to protect the agriculture land from the over flowing water of the Ujh river and the construction work was executed under the supervision of department of flood and control could not stand even with two rains of the season and all the material used for construction of this wall washed away and damaged entire wall and the residents of the village get affected. Along with all the villagers the senior leader of national conference Sh. K.K Bakshi demanded a concrete and comprehensive enquiry of the contractors who executed the work. In the deputation Sh. Jagdish Singh, Rajbir Singh, Rajinder Singh, Magar Singh, Dhian Singh, Mohinder Singh, Kaku Ram, Kirpal Chand, Mani Ram, Babu Ram, along with the activists of national conference Sh. Pardip Kesar, Tony, Harpreet Singh, Neelam Devi, and other w ere present.
