| Rahul wants Kashmiri youth to be his friends: Vikar | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU AUG 11: The newly elevated General Secretary of All India Youth Congress (AICC) and Legislator from Banihal, Vikar Rasool was accorded rousing reception on his return from New Delhi to home constituency.
Thousands of people from all walks of life and different parts of Banihal and Ramban Constituency participated in the welcome function which turned into a huge rally.
After passing through the different bazaars of the town, Vikar later addressed the gathering at Tourism Reception Centre, Banihal.
Speaking on the occasion, Vikar said that he wants to deliver the message of Rahul Gandhi to Kashmiri youth who are misled by some vested interests and are indulged in anti social and anti national activities like stone pelting etc.
He further added that Rahul wants Kashmiri youth to be his friends and has extended a hand of friendship towards them and Kashmiri youth must accept this offer for their prosperous and bright future which may lead the nation and Valley to peace which is imperative right at the moment.
He said that violence is not a solution to any problem and particularly the Kashmir issue. “If it would have been a solution then it might have been resolved in the last twenty years of turmoil” he added.
He expressed sorrow over the present killings which took place in Valley in the last two months and appealed the youth to come forward for peace and development process.
The people present in the function in one voice too assured Mr Vikar their full support in the coming future also.
