| Shoba Yatra Arrangements reviewed | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 11:District Development Commissioner, Jammu, M.K Dwivedi today held a meeting to review the arrangements being made by the civil administration for the smooth conduct of the Shobha Yatra to be held on September 1, 2010 in connection with celebration of ensuing Shri Krishan Janmashtami.
ADC, Jammu, Mr. D.R Sharma, SSP, Jammu, SSP Traffic, senior officers from Health, PDD, PHE, Municipality, Fire Services and other allied departments besides representatives of Dharmarth Trust, Santan Dharm and other social organizations attended the meeting.
A detailed discussion was held regarding uninterrupted power and water supply, medicare facilities, sanitation, fire tenders and other vital issues. The DDC directed all the concerned officers to ensure all adequate arrangements well before the commencement of yatra. He asked the Municipal authorities to keep proper sanitation enroute the yatra. The PDD and PHE authorities were directed to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply. SSP, Jammu was asked to make all security arrangements besides the SSP Traffic was directed to ensure uninterrupted flow of traffic during the yatra. The Health authorities were asked to provide ambulances with first aid. Fire Tenders were directed to remain present during the yatra period to avoid any mishappening.
The DDC directed the NBCC authorities to immediately start restoration work on the yatra routes so that the there is no inconvenience during the yatra.
