| DC Kupwara suspends 9 officials | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Kupwara Aug 11:Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Mohammad Shafi Rather today suspended 9 officials of different departments for un-authorised absence from duty. These include 7 employees of PHE, 1 each from irrigation& Flood Control and Block Development Office Kupwara.
The Deputy Commissioner also served explanation to Executive Engineer REW, asking him to explain his position for unauthorized, absence from duty.
The action against these employees was taken following a surprise inspection by DDC to the offices of PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control, Rural Engineering wing, Rural Development Department and education offices here today.
The DDC directed all the sectoral officers to ensure full attendance in their respective offices so that the common masses could not suffer. He said regularity of all employees is a must to address public grievances promptly.
