| Rousing reception accorded to Shahnawaz Choudhary | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 12: The activists of Pradesh Youth Congress (PYC) and National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) J&K accorded a rousing reception to the newly appointed National Secretary, Indian Youth Congress (IYC), Mohammad Shahnawaz Choudhary, who returned from Delhi this morning.
A large number of PYC activists led by their President Shoaib Lone and Senior Vice President RS Pathania and NSUI activists led by their President Rashid Choudhary, received Shahnawaz at Railway Station.
Later, Shahnawaz was brought to the Congress Bhavan at Shahidi Chowk, in the shape of a grand road show comprising of hundreds of vehicles with PYC and NSUI flags atop them.
Along the way the activists danced to the tunes of drums beats and celebrated the appointment of Shahnawaz by distributing sweets to the youth, students and general public.
On the way a gathering of students and youth was addressed by Shahnawaz at the main gate of Jammu University after which students and youth accompanied him to the PCC headquarter.
At Congress Bhavan he was received by a large number of PYC and NSUI activists.
Addressing the gathering Shahnawaz Choudhary, National Secretary IYC expressed his deep sense of gratitude and thanks to Rahul Gandhi, General Secretary AICC, Incharge IYC & NSUI , Jatinder Singh, AICC Secretary, In charge IYC and Rajiv Satav, National President IYC.
He said the he will leave no stone unturned to project the cause of Youth of the country On occasion also the youth Congress leaders including Shoaib Lone and R S Pathania, besides NSUI leader Rashid Coudhary and Shahnawaz Choudhary took a pledge to not fall prey to factionalism.
