JSM concerned over attempts to disturb Jammu’s peace | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Aug 12:Jammu State Morcha (JSM) has expressed concern over the attempts of some anti-national elements to vitiate the peaceful atmosphere and sow seeds of communal hatred amongst the nationalistic and peace loving people of Jammu region. In an emergency meeting of the office bearers of JSM held here today under the chairmanship of their president Prof Virender Gupta, the members strongly condemned the anti-national slogans and demonstrations in Jammu by a group of Kashmiri youth. These sorts of demonstrations clearly show that there is a section of the forces which are hell bent upon disrupting the peace of Jammu region also. It is most surprising that all the youth involved in these acts are from the Kashmir Valley and who have been studying to become doctors and lawyers by making full use of all the subsidized educational facilities being provided by the Union of India against whom they are raising anti-national slogans, JSM members said Lambasting the state and central government, JSM said it is for their failure to act tough against such elements in the state that this sort of behavior is nothing but provocation to the nationalistic people of Jammu. JSM members is also highly appreciative of the District Police who have acted swiftly and arrested all the participants of these anti-national acts and booked them under the various sections of law. JSM also demands that a JNU Student along with a foreign correspondent who were found roaming on Jammu University campus and city trying to paste anti-national posters be also arrested immediately. Capt Anil Gour, Digvijay Singh, Chandra Uday Sharma, Virender Magotra, Divender Singh Jamwal, Balvinder Singh and Surjeet Singh attended the meeting.
