Go India Foundation to hold blood donation camp on I-Day | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Aug 12: Go India Foundation has decided to launch nation-wise blood donation drive on Independence Day. Announcing this in a press conference, Mehboob Mustafa Batt, incharge J&K said, ‘Foundation under the leadership of Alka Lamba, chairperson has decided to express the united effort of Independence Day by organizing Blood donation campaign at national level. “We have targeted for 63,000 units of Blood from all over India and campaign held in around 70 cities across India’, he informed. Batt said that in Jammu province it will be organized in Jammu, Udhampur, Reasi, Kathua, Samba, Ramban, Kishtwar, Doda, Poonch, Rajouri districts. He further said Go India Foundation has wish to inspire and motivate the youth of India to make blood donation as a part of their routine after every three months. “This campaign is going to organize on I- day keeping in view the sacrifice of our freedom fighters and defence personnel who are giving their lives at borders to keep us safe’, he said, adding, ‘This campaign will add a new record in world history and will be a part of Limca and Guinness Book of World records’.
