KPC rejects PM’s possible autonomy offer | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Aug 12:Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) has reacted strongly over Prime Minister’s remarks on possible autonomy to J&K, dilution of AFSPA and ignoring Kashmiri Pandits as one of the principal parties in all party meet held recently at New Delhi. According to a press statement issued here today, National President KPC Kundan Kashmiri said that timid and weak stand on Kashmir and succumbing under propaganda unleashed by separatists, pseudo-secularists and pro-Pak agents in the valley, has exposed the will and determination of Centre government to counter the nefarious design of these forces . KPC president said that Kashmir belonged to all Kashmiris including KPs who are part of the Valley for the last five thousand years and any decision on Kashmir has direct bearings and effect to the said community. He said that Kashmiri Pandit community rejects autonomy, self rule as well as annexation of Kashmir with Pakistan and termed the accession of Kashmir with India full and final. The proxy war unleashed by Pakistan and sustained by hand full separatists in Kashmir from last twenty years could not alter status of even an inch of land belongs to India. He further said that at the one hand Centre Government is appeasing and healing one particular section of the valley engaged in anti-national activities and on the other hand ignoring another section of the people who are on the cross roads for the last twenty years. Opposing to any major dilution or phase withdrawal of AFSPA from J&K, Kundan Kashmiri said that such step will impinge adversely on the manner in which armed forces operate in J&K. KPC further stated that any decision on Kashmir without the involvement of KPs will be futile exercise and would not yield any result. KPC also appealed Nationalist forces and KP organizations to get united to fight against the nefarious designs of separatists and as well as for community rights and justice.
